Solicitor General Crime Prevention Awards
Congratulations go out to Ralph Sell, our Director-South, on receiving a well deserved 2006 Solicitor General Crime Prevention Award.
Ralph Sell joined the Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch in 1993 and has been an active volunteer with many other crime prevention programs in the city.
Ralph is involved in multiple crime prevention initiatives including the Ottewell Community Patrol, the Community Police Radio Network, the Millwood's Community Patrol and the Twin Parks Neighbourhood Foot Patrol, which he organized in 1998.
In December 2005, Ralph graduated from the Citizen's Police Academy in order to increase his knowledge of crime trends and the functioning of police.
Along with the thousands of hours that Ralph has volunteered, he has been a valuable community crime prevention recruiter, convincing others of the importance of citizen involvement towards neighbourhood safety.
"The best thing I enjoy about crime prevention is organizing an area to prevent crime and seeing it become a safer place to live," says Ralph. His actions prove his commitment to this vision.
